Lisa Hanington is a Senior Designer with strong illustration, graphic, and information design skills. She shapes projects and designs memorable experiences. With over 25 years of professional design experience, Lisa specializes in visualizing complex information while engaging project teams and delivering successful products for end users.
Lisa has worked as a contractor to Philips Respironics for the past 15 years as an instructional illustrator. As part of various project teams consisting of technical writers, engineers, designers, and VPs, Lisa visualized breathing products for consumer use manuals, FDA approval, and focus-group testing. The digital libraries Lisa created are used throughout the world to communicate how Philips Respironics’ breathing products work without the need for text explanation or translation.
Lisa also continues to work closely with Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Design where she taught as an Adjunct Professor for 10 years. Here she taught Communication Design Fundamentals to students in the departments of HCI, English, and Design. Lisa’s ability to communicate complex information in a fun and engaging way has helped both her students and clients succeed.
Lisa volunteers her time designing and managing brand campaigns for her local church and taekwondo studio.
